It's been far too long since I last posted on this blog. FAIL. But as you can tell, I've been busy! The Steampunk bug bit me so I started illustrating everything I could think of... which quickly became a calendar. Take a look! http://www.etsy.com/listing/86080248/2012-steampunk-gadget-calendar
A production manager at work wanted a banner that encapsulated everything that the Lawn & Garden category at my company sells. So I spelled it out with typography and mixed it in with some simple plants and spiced it up with more geometric shapes in the background.
The inspiration behind this was the American dollar (the all-seeing eye) and basic symmetry. My vision is one of the most important things to me so I keep a good supply of carrots on hand. :)
The company I work for is putting on a Biggest Loser Weight Competition. For this poster, I first toyed with the idea of illustrating a tape measurer or a scale but then I realized that illustrating a big belly that almost looked as big as the sun would speak much louder to all the people that need to shed a few LB's. I went for an old screen print feel and used the fonts Headline and Univers.
